Oaked Chardonnay 2005
This wine was made by the traditional méthode ancienne technique. Hand picked grapes were basket pressed and the juice allowed to first ferment with the ‘wild yeast’. Fermentation and maturation was all in French oak barriques leaving the wine on lees for an extended time. The wine is a complex of oak and fruit flavours – nuts, spice with ripe stone fruits. This is a medium to full-bodied wine suitable for equally full-bodied foods.
